Improving my English Skills

Improving the reading, writing and listening skills is very important for students especially for their future. Each and every student who wants to learn is aiming to improve his skills. I’m going to write about what I’ve learned in 175 English courses.

Reading was very helpful to me because it made me skim and scan more and it made my skills in reading increase. Secondly, Writing was the best thing in the English courses because it made my writing skills much quicker and better. I believe that I’ve learned how to write in a better way than I was before. Finally, listening was the toughest for me because I had to listen carefully and write quickly, so at first I felt that I was in rush, but with time I improved a lot till I’ve reached a top point. I feel that these skills will help me in my whole life. Nowadays, I can communicate with people in an easy way by speaking English with them.

In conclusion, I certainly believe that 175 English courses is very helpful for those people who wants to improve their English skills. I also think that they will be professionals if they’ve completed studying some English courses in HCT.

Visitors to Canada

In the line chart, it shows the number of visitors in thousands from the year 1996 to 2006. The chart shows the rise and fall of each year. It is the comparing between two countries which are Spain and Japan.

Starting in 1996, there was a significant difference in the number of visitors from Spain to Canada. There were almost 300,000 Spanish visitors, compared to 850,000 Japanese visitors. Three more years, the visitors from Spain have been sharply increased to 620,000 visitors. In 1999 the numbers were gradually reduced from Japanese visitors, On the other hand, the numbers were sharply decreased from Spanish visitors. Moreover, the Spanish visitors have been increasing till the year 2004, whereas the Japanese visitors were increasing in the same year. 2006 was the last year shown on the graph which showed the Spanish visitors reached to 600,000, and the Japanese visitors reached to 650,000.

In conclusion, the number of Japanese visitors was much more than the Spanish visitors during the ten years period.

Etisalat

In the United Arab Emirates Etisalat blocks internet access to websites deemed counter to the country’s morality standards. Etisalat only blocks some illegal websites which contains bad things especially for children.  Etisalat made a good decision when they blocked illegal websites.

There are several arguments in favor of blocking websites. The first argument is that bad internet users will never check for illegal stuff and they will surrender the fact which is based on their minds. This is important so that even children can’t watch bad stuff. The internet users will only use the net for some certain things for example downloading songs, images and other good things. People also argue that Internet makes some people addicted to it which cause a lot of eyes problem and other big problems.

However, there are many far more convincing arguments against blocking websites from Etisalat. The first point is that internet users needs to open some blocked website, but these websites contains bad and good stuff, so they want to use  the good stuff but they can’t. Another point is that there is a big difference between internet users. They use the net in a different way so they need to use it in a different way. Finally, each user has different interests. Some of users use the internet for legal stuff and some use it for bad.

In conclusion, I think that Etisalat did a good job in blocking some websites. I believe that they blocked those certain websites for people own sake.

Young Drivers

Most car accidents are caused by young drivers under the age of 25. Nobody should be allowed to drive until they reach 25. I’m going to write about this situation.

Drivers under the age of 25 always drive with a high speed. Most of them like to race with others to test how powerful their cars. Another situation is that some drivers under the age of 25 use their mobile phones while driving, and they think that they are the best drivers ever. The last situation is that drivers under the age of 25 like to drive with a loud music, so if they were driving in a crazy way and the car behind is using horn, they can’t hear a thing. The only thing that they can hear is the music.

I’m against these statements, and I believe that they should be solved as fast as possible. Strict rules should be put for drivers under the age of 25. I think that some drivers must be calm while driving, not in a rush way for their own sake. They must care about their selves a bit because for sure their families are waiting them to come back home. They all know the speed kills quickly. Some insurance companies don’t give a full insurance for the drivers under 25 because they know that most of them drive crazily.

In conclusion, drivers under the age of 25 must not put their selves in this sort of situations. They have to follow the road rules. If they really followed the rules, they will have the best life ever.

Mobile to disaster

Many people in this world use their mobile phones while driving. Some of them think that it is normal to use the phone while driving, and some think that it’s a kind of risky. Nowadays, people always argue about this situation, to use or not to.

Some people think that it’s illegal to use the mobile phones while driving, and they also argue with some points. The first point is that some people believe that while talking, you are not focused on driving, and that can be a big disaster. Another point is that if you hear bad news while driving, you might get angry and get distracted. The last point which people argue about is that while you are talking on the phone it is easy to drive too fast and have an accident.

On the other hand, some people are against making it illegal. They have some different points which make them believe that mobile phones are important always. The first point is that, in case of an emergency you need to call for help or rescue. Another point is that, if you need to use the map application on your phone, you need to see the screen to guide you the right way. Finally, they believe that mobile phones are important for businessmen to take important business calls.

In conclusion, I certainly agree with the people who are against making it illegal because I believe that phones are important for emergency cases. I also think that people need to use their phones for maps which can lead the way.

Leisure Products in The UK

Leisure products in the United Kingdom are thought by several groups. This spending depends on the ages of people, and the activity.
The first age group, from twenty years old to 30, spends 41% on the electronic equipment which is the most spent on leisure products. Sports goods are the second most spent on leisure product which stands at 20%. Next, they spend on book and magazines at 16%. Other hobbies stand for 11%. Gardening is the second least percent within 7% whereas photography is the least percentage within only 5%.
The second age group is the people from 50 to 60 years. They spend mostly on electronic equipment too, but the less than the first group by 3 percent. They spend the next on books and magazines with 28% more than the first group at 12%. They don’t spend a lot for sports and photography like the first group.
They enjoy gardening more than the first group by 16%. They spend 8% on other hobbies whereas first group is more than is by 3%.

Spending on Public Transport

People in the United Kingdom usually spend their money on public transportation. Public transport contains three modes which are rail, bus, and taxis. Ages depend on which they prefer to ride.
People who are under 30 mostly use the taxis because they’re able to stand and wait for a long time, and they use the bus only for urgent cases. People in the age between 30 and 50 have the same percentage with people under 30. They mostly even have the same reasons. People in the age between 50 and 60 spend six pounds per week on taxis, two pounds on buses. People in the age 65 and 75 use less transportation whereas they spend 2.8 pounds on taxis, 0.7 pounds on bus and 0.6 pounds on rail. Finally people in the age 7.5 and over spends 1.5 pounds on taxis, 1.4 on bus, and 1.3 on rail wgich is a small amount of spending.
I’m conclusion, taxis are the most important transport motor, because all the people in the United Kingdom uses them. Rain and bus are only for people who has an urgent cases or even if they are bored of taxis.
